It also spreads through the masonry and other materials.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1578999296435{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;][\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Under what conditions does merula wood-destroying fungi appear?&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|font_size:20px|text_align:left|color:%23424242&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1652434904831{margin-top: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]The fungus appears when there is a <strong>humidity level of at least 22%<\/strong> and proliferates when the humidity level reaches 35%-40% and with a temperature between 18\u00b0C and 25\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>This fungus also grows in darkness, in a confined atmosphere and in poorly ventilated areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In the dark<\/strong>, the fungus looks like thick, white absorbent cotton or absorbent cotton: gray filaments develop and can reach several meters in length.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In the light<\/strong>, the merula appears as a soft, orange\/brown colored fungus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The merula has a very strong odor that resembles that of an undergrowth or a forest in autumn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If conditions are no longer suitable<\/strong>, the fungus does not die but enters a <strong>dormant period<\/strong>.
