Each job involves different requirements. To help you understand and choose your equipment, MABI reminds you of the different classifications.

Classification for disposable coveralls

  • Category 01 MINOR RISKS
    Low risk without danger for the user.
  • Category 02 INTERMEDIATE RISKS
  • Category 03 MAJOR HAZARDS Protection from serious and irreversible health hazards, or life-threatening hazards.

Internal classification according to different types:
TYPE 6: Limited protection against splashing and reduced chemical spraying.
TYPE 5: Tight protection against dry chemical particles suspended in the air.
TYPE 4: Protection against spraying of chemical agents.
TYPE 3: Waterproof protection, with seams sealed to chemical liquids.

AN OPEN FILTER MUST NOT BE USED BEYOND 6 MONTHS
Its lifespan varies depending on the exposure time, temperature, humidity, work done, pollutants and their concentrations. It must imperatively be changed as soon as there is an odor or taste inside the mask.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTIONS AGAINST HARMFUL ACTION OF DUSTS, SOLID AND / OR LIQUID AEROSOLS

  • FFP1 WITHOUT SPECIFIC TOXICITY Food and agricultural industry, quarries, cement factories, wood industry and more particularly softwood dust, calcium carbonate, graphite, plaster, chalk, cement, marble, zinc oxide and also against pollen and plants, cellulose, sulfur, cotton and ferrous metal filings.
  • FFP2 MEDIUM TOXIC Hazardous or irritating: dusts of copper, barium, titanium, vanadium, manganese, hardwood.
  • FFP3 TOXIC Dusts containing, for example, nickel, cobalt, cadmium, arsenic, radium, strychine, radioactive particles.

AGAINST PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL AGGRESSION

The 4 digits below the pictogram give the level of performance (abrasion, blade cut, tear and puncture resistances).

AGAINST CHEMICALS AND / OR MICROORGANISMS

The 3 letters below the pictogram give the 3 chemicals (from a predefined list of 12 according to EN 374-1) for which the tightness and resistance are reached at a minimum level of performance of 2.

Solvent gloves (green): high performance chemical protection

Latex gloves (white): Latex allows precise gestures and great dexterity thanks to the flexibility and thinness of the material

Nitrile gloves (blue): Protection against chemicals and bacteria.

MABI Handling gloves (orange): recommended for fine handling in dry or slightly greasy and messy environments. Also available in brushed hair for an ideal protection during winter work

Carpenter’s gloves (black): Reinforced soft gloves, for building work

PVC gloves (red): For work with presence of oils, greases or petroleum products.

Adjustable to the shoulders and legs. Lightweight and easy to install.

Disposable over-shoes, against light splashes of liquid. Non-slippery sole.

Disposable hood type 6, recommended against light splashes of liquid and infectious agents.

Bump cap with short visor, soft shell. Ideal for low risk protection.

Powered Air Respirators: Ideal for working in polluted and confined environments. Permanent air intake for a better comfort (two choices of flow: 160 or 200L / MIN).
